LIGHTNING ROUND Q&A
WHAT IS ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU HAVE FOR SOMEONE JUST STARTING OUT IN THEIR CAREER?
Work hard, stay positive, and keep learning.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU FEEL UNFOCUSED OR OVERWHELMED?
Something else besides architecture. Travel, go away for the weekend, go sailing - anything to just get away from it, so that when you come back to it you have a fresh perspective.
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU FIND REALLY INSPIRING?
I'm reading the biography of Leonardo DaVinci, that's pretty inspiring and humbling!
WHAT'S A FUNNY OR UNUSUAL FACT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I'm messy with paper. I have no paper organizational skills, but I don't think that qualifies as either a funny or an unusual habit.
MENTOR SHOUT OUT! WHO IS SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN A GREAT MENTOR TO YOU?
I'd have to say Bill Pedersen and Gene Kohn. I've had lots of good mentors along the way, terrific mentors. But Bill and Gene over the last 24 years have been exceptional.
